8800 now or wait for r600

Ok guys, I need a new graphics card for my build and was going to go with an 8800gts 320/640.

My question is, would if be worth waiting for the R600 to be relessed first and if so when is that released?

Also, does anyone know what kind of price drop we should expect on the 8800gts range?

its only 2 weeks till launch

we dont know if nvidia will have any price drops
but we do know that atis cards will be cheaper than normal

If there is a price drop, doubt it'd be huge. New mid-range nvidia cards next week (?), waiting till then before ordering my GTX incase a refresh comes with them...

Waiting would be a good idea either way... whether ATI cards are the better buy or with Nvidias possible price drops.
