ok i have a bit of spare money, and i love my need for speed and FEAR, so i have 7900gs running in SLi, but i have a new 19" flat screen coming so i can run my games at more than 1024x768.

I love havin the graphics topped out, so i'm thinkin of getting the BGF 8800 with the water cooler, as i have a water system ( which is the best thing i have ever decided to do )

will i see much or an improvement over my SLi 7900gs ( i think they only have 256 mb of memory on them )

Cheers party ppl

You will see improvements over your 7900gs's but an 8800 can be used at resolutions of 1600x1200.

I would have thought Need for speed and FEAR would run at full on 2x7900gs's in sli?

My old computer had 1 256mb 7800gtx and that could run fear at 1280x1024 set to high with some AA and AF.

You will see an improvement though and from what I have read, you will get clearer, crisper graphics.

Hope this helps :)

The test in fear gives me about 70fps avg at 1920x1200 4xAA 16xAF with every game settings on max detail....

This is with my system in my sig...(AMD 4400 cpu (2400mhz) 8800gtx running standard clock speeds of 576/900)

just looking to cut down on heat sources, as my motherboard sits at 45-50 degs, which is a bit hot, so if i chop out a card and watercool the new one, it should help.

Cheers guy/girls
