8800 or 9800

I don't think you're allowed to post a link to a competitors website matey...
but anyways, to answer your question. I'd go for the 9800GTX+
Theres no reason why I'd go for the 8800GTS as the 9800GTX+ is a bit faster and priced at about the same price.

Both are the same cards, just the 9800 GTX was renamed from the 8800 GTS and overclocked, so may as well get that seen as they are the same price.

The 8800 GTS has slower memory that the 9800 GTX, GTX+

Approx 1Ghz vs 1.2Ghz

Otherwise the cards are very similar.

If buying new and the price is right ... the 9800 will have better stock clocks so I'd go for that

I suppose it boils down to what your psu can handle ......... I've been told that mine will run a 9800gtx+ but its close so I might just play safe with the 8800gts :)

The 9800 GTX+ is on the smaller 55nm process compared to the GTS's 65nm, so its probably around the same power requirements with those clocks.

What he said.

Or wait for the GTS 250 which should be priced around the same as the current 9800GTX+, has twice the memory and uses 30w less power at idle.
