I need a bit of advice guys re the reattaching of the original heat sinks.

I've used thermal pads/strips on the memory etc but is this the best way to go. I've heard thermal paste can be used instead and can have better results.

On idle the cards range from high 50's to low 60's. On load around 85 degrees. I had them watercooled before so i've no idea what they should be temp wise but from looking around the net this seems to be about right.

I want them to work properly for when they go to a new home but if the above is ok then i'll leave them as they are.

Cheers :)

Is that what you upgraded from Dave?

I love the Ultra. One of the best looking cards ever made :)

I did Andy.

SLI set up too. I had them going last night and this morning. They still perform brilliantly and play everything i have at high settings.

Eg, Crysis on high settings, DX10, 1920x1080 gives around 50FPS. Crysis 2 they ran no problem also, everything seemed very smooth but i never benched against that game. Might have a play with them later and see what they compare like to the 480's (which are awesome btw).

I'm loathe to let them go really as i dont think they'll fetch much. I've still got the original boxes, driver discs etc they came with too.

Couple of pics for the memories mate.

I might stick them on my shelf actually as a tribute. Possibly two pieces of the best tech i've ever bought. They've never missed a beat :D

Drool.

I wouldn't sell them mate. You're right, they won't fetch much. Maybe £25 tops. I mean, I bought a second hand Zotac 275 for £40 delivered so yeah, I would hold onto them.

What makes them even more interesting IMO is that they are XFX. And XFX no longer make Nvidia cards (well, sticker them any way).

Mine was an EVGA. Ended up baking it about four times before I called it a day.
