8800 Vista 64 driver profile problem

Has anyone else had problems with the Vista 64 nvidia drivers? They seem to work ok but when creating profiles for individual games, the settings seem to get lost as soon as I come out of the control panel. I am clicking apply before exiting btw.
 
There's 2 xml files in the System32 directory that need to be given full Admin rights.

I can't remeber exactly what they're called, but a search for nv*.xml in that directory should find them.

Thanks, that worked a treat but why would they not be set properly by the driver installation?
