Alright guys, ive over the last few days been making my pc a lot more quieter, its whisper quiet now and the only thing i can hear making a racket is the fan on the graphics card,

Which would be a good cooler to fit on this, im not entirely sure what fits what, i was going to go with the Akasa Vortexx but ive read about a few people having issues getting it fitted,

Also if i was to buy a cooler would i need ram sync also ?

Id be greatful if you guys could reccomend me a decent cooler for this card, its a Alpha Dog Edition, dont know if thats going to make a difference mind :)

Thanks a lot.

I recently fitted an Arctic Cooling Accelero jobbie to my 8800GT and even running it passive the temps are around 40C cooler than the factory heatsink. I wish I'd taken some pix of the TIM that Nvidia fit. Just shocking, to be honest.

Anyways, best £15 on cooling I ever spent.

Comes with braces for the card but doesn't really need them. Didn't notice anything to hold a fan on it. Mine is running completely passive although the case has a 120mm front intake fan which is blowing towards the cooler. But without touching the overclock, the cooler has dropped my load temp to below 50C. To run the GT stock cooler silently I was having to accept +90C temps :(
