8800gs sli?

4gb geil ultra low latency ram
Asus M2N-SLi Deluxe (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
X-fi Gamer
Asus GeForce 8800 GS 384MB GDDR3 @ 710/1600/1750
game @ 1280x1024

What would the advantages of putting in another 8800gs and would it par up with a 8800gt,also its hard to find any gpu tables for 8800gs/sli does anyone have any?

No point,

Sell the GS and get a single 8800GTS.

No point in SLI at that res.

A GT or GTS will cut through nicely with loads of AA and AF.

Dont really want to sell the 8800gs seems ive had it only a week from ocuk,So your saying if i did use 2x8800gs in sli there would be no gain?what if i used 1600x1200 in gaming would i then see any gain,I did read somewhere that 2x 8800gs are better then 1x GT

Yes you would have course see a gain, but some games don't support SLI, and some games support it badly.

If I were you, I would keep the GS for a few months until the new cards come out, and then sell it and grab a new card. Less issues all together.

In my opinion the only time to SLI would be something like an 8800 GTX if you play at least 1920x1200...

Don't bother with SLI. Its problems and cost outweigh its gains and you would be FAR better with just one faster card.

i agree with Easy on that point. Anyways, an 8800GT 512 will be overkill ath that res - probably take Crysis high DX9 easily... MAYBE, very high
