8800GT 256Mb replacement challenge

To get to the point i think that my current card (8800GT 256Mb) is playing up. I dont have much money at the mo but if i do need to replace it can i get a card with the same or better performance for under £50.

for under £50 you'd have to go 2nd hand I think, if new then you need to rasie your budget to £80 and look at a 4850 like this, should be quite a bit better than the 8800 due to dbl the RAM, its prob a little bit better than a half gig version of the 8800

been looking on the bay if i take a gamle i could get another 8800 for £30. would the 4830/4850 be a good bit better?

Under £50 ? well really the best card for that much will be second hand 8800GT 512mb or GTS 512mb (not 320 or 640). I would try and get a 4850 if you can stretch to it.

Id say a second hand 8800gt/gts 512 mb

Should be able to find one kicking about £50!
