Would like to know what the standard/ reference clocks are for this card and what would possibly be a decent overclock on memory, core, etc

Would advise your cooling is up to scratch first either setup a fan profile using rivatuner or get an accelero s1.

defaults should be 600 clock 1500 shader and 1800 memory
a decent clock would be 700 core 1750 shader and 2000 memory
try one step at a time and use ati tool to check for artifacts anything above those clocks is very good and should be achievable but each card is different.
I'd bung it straight to 700 clock 1750 shader and 1950 memory then check for artifacts then increase clock until you start to get artifacts find a level where it's fine then try upping shader, memory max you should leave at 2000 and don't go over that
I'd then use crysis benchmark as a final stability tester

Having an interesting one with this atm... OCing an 8800GT SLI setup - its 100% stable in everything except crysis benchmark - can loop 3D Marks for hours but on anything but stock clocks it either locks hard or shows graphic corruption after 4-5 loops. In all other benchmarks and stress tests its bullet proof.
