8800gt artifacting when expertool sets clocks?

clocks currently sat at 689 / 949 / 1605 which I have gamed and completed crysis with.

Expertool is setup to load these clocks at startup but 1 in 10 times it artifacts upon setting them, the whole screen gets red all over it but kinda resembles the desktop, the mouse can still move but can only just make it out.

The restart and let it set the clocks again and its fine?

Any ideas?

Either the Shader or the Core clock is set too high I'd have thought?

Is the last number your Memory clock, as I thought standard clocks on these was 1800? Have you underclocked the memory then?

Does it on mine now and again if overclocked, and also on a friends.

no last one is shader, mem is 949x2 = 1900

i get it 6 out of 10 times and its always when setting the memory, even if I clock the memory back to stock it will sometime artifact.

For anyone else who had or may have this problem i think it due to expertool, i've now switched to rivatuner and havent had it happen once and have been able to go much higher on the overclock.
