8800GT BIOS update?

I have any early reference 8800GT currently running vBIOS 62.92.12.00.04, does anybody know off hand if there is a newer version? My system has a tendancy to not cold boot sometimes (even at stock), its not that often but a tad annoying so I though I might update my VGA card just incase it makes a difference.

There are 2 versions of the BFG 8800GT, one @625MHz and another @675MHz.....if you click on the Support tab on the @625MHz version, you will find a BIOS update for that...

Hmm the clock on mine is 600MHz but I'm guessing it 625MHz should be no problem. Do you know if this update checks the sub vendor id as my card is a Gigabyte?

I wouldn't even risk trying it mate!

The BIOS for all 8800GT should be pretty much identical short of vendor strings - but you never know when a vendor might tweak memory timings, etc. for their particular card.

I doubt a BIOS update for your GPU would make any difference to cold boot problems.

I don't think it will make any difference either. I take it you've already updated the motherboard to latest BIOS?

Flashing graphics is fine though, I did my GTX so the default clocks are higher, which saves having to run overclocking software/tools.

I have an EVGA 8800GT with BIOS 62.92.24.00.02, is this newer or older than the OP's?
