8800Gt choice confusion

Hi,

I have been reading the forums here for some time to try and help me choose a new graphics card. I have come to the conclusion that an 8800GT is the way to go, however I have seen several topics regarding people getting cards with small circumference fans and some as being shown as a double slot cooler and actually a single slot.

There seem to be far too many flavours of GT out there and some with different revisions!!

Can anyone recommend a good 8800GT that has a quality cooler (my PC room is a tad on the warm side) but doesn’t sound like a small aircraft taking off!??

Post pictures if you have them as they make me feel warm and fuzzy when I can see what i'm buying! :)

Cheers.

To be honest, it makes no difference which one you get as they're all manufactured to a basic standard. Personally, I have an Inno3D 8800GT OC - 15% overclocked at the factory, and covered by the guarantee. Sorted.

what concerns me is that there were quite a few people complaining about cards overheating with the rev1.0 cards. I wanted to avoid the known overheaters and go for something that was tried and tested.

I generally don't overclock my GPU so would want it to run quite cool on stock (bearing in mind the warm surroundings it wil have)
