Hey Guys,

Would it be possible to remove the cooler from a PNY 8800gt and put it on my BFG 8800gt? The reason I ask is because I have an old 8800gt that is completely busted but the cooler still works. The cooler on the BFG 8800gt is very weak the fan is way to small to even try to keep the card cool tbh.

Any information appreciated ;)
 
Do all the holes line up for the screws? Are the fan connetions the same? Do the coolers look identical?

If the answer to all of the above is yes then i don't see why it won't work.
 
In all fairness, I've not actually checked. The truth is the card is my friends but it's just a paper weight at the moment. I'm guessing they are going to be pretty similar, might be an idea to just go with an after market one.
