I read something about new coolers for these cards. Would i be better off not getting my 8800GT until this cooler this is sorted?

Seems to be a lot of problems with the 8800GT KO and SSC. I had an idea id pick up my reservation for a KO and flog it on an aution site for £60 more than i paid (Since thats what there going for!)
But sod it ill just cancel and wait for the prices to drop.

So if OCUK knows about this - why are they still selling them - coz they'll just end up being RMA'ed
Just got mine today, still not plugged it in ( waiting for more components to arrive ) but I'm to afraid to use it now seeing that I may get the same problems others have been complaining about......
I cannot believe companies these days get away with stuff like this !!!

The Leadtek one that OcUK sells has the larger fan...
And looks to be more exspensive...
There is a new BIOS update on the EVGA message board that apparently improves the Fanspeed autosensor on the 8800GT cards. . . . seems to work for most people as they report up to 12 degrees improvement under load on the temps !

They are not new coolers by Nvidia, story got updated. 
Updated: According to our sources Nvidia hasn't changed the reference cooling and doesn't even plan to do so. Our sources also claim that Expreview.com just managed to get their hands on Leadtek's own 8800 GT design, which uses an improved cooler, similar to those we saw on XFX cards a while back.
Its just some brands putting their own coolers on, like what EVGA do with theirs.
