My XpertVision 8800GT autofan control doesnt work. I set it to auto in rivatuner and it never turns up the speed of the fan. I can control it using the fixed speed but that it.

What is strange is that after running 3dmark 06 the highest temp reported is 62. After running the crysis benchmark in ultra settings the highest is 67.

Anyone else think this is slightly strange to say I have the card clocked from 600core to 700 and the memory running from 900 to 1000ddr. This is with the fan working at the set minimum (in autosettings) of 45%

Ive no idea about that auto setting. but i doubt it would work on its own.
Those temps are fine, since that has a nice cooler on it. if you want changing fan speeds you ll have to set up some fan profiles http://www.guru3d.com/article/article/449/ , if you know your way around riva tuner itll take less than 10min

Why do you think those temps are strange?
 
thanks. I thought they are a bit low to say the fan is only at 45% (i cant really hear it)

Setting individual fan speeds looks like too much effort, think i'll just put it at 100% speed if i need more power to the card in future. Otherwise leave it at 700/1000 and not noisy
