8800GT GPU cooler....

There's a thermalright cooler which works very well on the 8800gt if there's any airflow in the case at all. Roughly matches the stock cooler when running passive and thoroughly beats it with a fan attached.
This one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-053-TR

Takes up a couple of adjacent slots, can be fitted to either side of the card. If you mount it so it's hanging off the back, with the cooler going up and over the card it takes up one slot above the card. If it's on the other side, it takes up two slots below.

I've got one of these, used it very happily until moving to an EK block. It's sat on my desk at present, and in a thread on MM if second hand sounds good :)

Accelero S1 is quieter than the vortex as it's silent (no fan) and fits a 8800gt, get that instead. :)

Yes I agree here, the accelero is great, Im really impressed how its cooling my card passively and its still cooler than stock hsf, but absolutely no noise!

I have the Accelero Twin Cooler for my 8800gt. Very nice cooler, and quiet too, even at 100% fans. Knocked 25c+ off my load temps. But one thing with it is that it's huge.. takes up an extra 2 slots.

Another vote for Accelero S1 - Just a note though, you may need to modify the bottom right VRAM cooler, as it can catch on the Accelero heatpipe.

Personally, I used a smaller Zalman ramsink I had lying around, and put the AC Ram sink onto the voltage regulators.

If you dont wanna spend another £5 or so on RAM sinks just chop the AC one to size with a hacksaw, or bend it - its only aluminium.

Some of those look great, but I'd really rather have one which ejects the air swiftly out of the case - they just seem to transfer it to the air in the case? I wouldn't mind too much, but my HSF draws air from the space between it and the GPU and shoves it out of the top (not ideal, but the only way I can mount it)

I think that pretty much leaves the thermalright designs out :-(
