8800GT + HDTV Question

Ok, I'm not an expert on such things but what I understand is that with this new HDCP connection I should be able to connect my PC to a HDTV and have both video and 5.1 surround through a HDMI cable right?

If so, where does this sound come from .. a cheap thing built onto the graphics card or straight from my xfi?

Any info or links would be great thanks.

Only later cards will have the sound built into the connections. The first vanilla 8800GT cards don't.

I;m aware Zotac is about to release a 8800GT with the HDMI connected so you will get both sound and video through one lead.
