every now and them my screen turns completely black or pink. Has not happened whilst gaming but when I have been checking emails etc.

Any suggestions what the problem could be?

(My sig for specs)

Update GFX drivers, fresh install of drivers btw not upgrade over, so run Guru3D driver sweeper before installing new drivers after a reboot.

Uninstalled driver, then booted in safe mode and used that Guru3d software you advised, however when restarting my PC in normal mode my internet is not connecting. I think it may have remved all my drivers!

(using laptop for internet)

Any suggestions?

If it was Guru3D DriveSweeper you ran, then it does remove your LAN connection (on Nvidia mobos), says in the big thread in the forums that theres an entry it removes for your onboard LAN, as it thinks its something to do with your gfx card as well, will be updated in a later version so it doesn't remove it, so try re-installing it from your motherboard CD as you may be lucky and get it back that way, or you'll have to do what a lot have had to do, a full reinstall of windows to get it back.

Well it did say I had 3 days to validate Windows? What does this mean? I tried validating it but cannot as I cannot access the internet. What will I have to do?

Thanks for your help, appreciate it mate.

Try re-installing your onboard LAN from your motherboard DVD, if its like XP, you may have a yellow question mark/exclamation mark or something next to your onboard LAN, just double click that and tell it to search from DVD, should find it and reinstall it from your Vista DVD, but not sure if it works same as XP.

Thanks, I have XP 32bit OS.

I'm not sure if I have the CD as I got someone to fit the motherboard for me. Could you link me to a site which I could download the LAN from. Also will I have to uninstall the current LAN.

Also, don't know if its of any relevance, but under add/remove programs, nothing is being listed?

Thanks again.

the GTs are 'on the edge' of what is considered stable. The default cooler is that poor.

Thats why a few manufacturers are re-releasling GT's with a new cooler.

Ahh, i was thinking of the 169.25 drivers for Vista lol, is there any entries in your Device Manger question marked or anything, should be able to get your mobo drivers from the EVGA site.

Hm weird, you should not need the full drivers, just the LAN drivers.

Didn't realise you were on the nvidia LAN controller.

Windows will sometimes ask to reactivate even with a driver reinstall (did for me with a bluetooth radio!) so just phone the 0800 number and re-activate. Easy stuff.

I just done system restore back to a couple of days ago, rebooted and internet worked. Will doing this however have any underlying effects from the LAN controller problem etc?

Thanks again.
