Hi,

I'm sure some of you remember my posts regarding 8800GT boot problems.

Anyway, the Saga continues. Again it's happened, i play the night before, shut down. And surprise surprise, this morning the fan stays at 100% and theres no response from the card at boot.

I've emailed BFG regards an RMA of the card.

Two questions, first and foremost, i don't have any of the packaging my card originally came in, will they still allow an RMA?

Secondly, anyone with experience, whats the sort of lead time on BFG's RMA service, be it swapping for a new card, or refunding ?

I do have my proof of purchase in the form of an e-reciept from OCUK, i also have all serial numbers etc.

They go by serial numbers and model number, with these they can tell everything they need to, you shouldnt NEED the origional box either if your sending it back just package it carefully.

I've RMA'd both a 7600GT and 7800GTX direct with BFG recently, and both times all I input to their online RMA forms were model and serial numbers.

I was instructed to return just the card with no software or accessories/box, securely packaged obviously.

In both instances, a new card was back with me in about a week. It's a very good service IMO.
