I recently upgraded my system (see sig), all except the graphics card and PSU.

This has all been working fine and stable for a couple of weeks but today all of a sudden I'm getting no display when I boot up :(. There are no beeps or anything to indicate a problem.

I can plug the LCD into the onboard graphics connection with the same cable and it works fine and boots into windows. When I check in device manager the card isn't showing.

I'm running the latest bios for the motherboard and haven't changed any settings or installed any other hardware recently.

I've tried reseating the card and reconnecting the power cable but this makes no difference. The card does appear to power up and the fan spins. Is my card dead or could it be anything else?

It may not be getting sufficient power, I would suspect the PSU. Do you have one to test it with?

Have you tried clearing the BIOS?

No I don't have another PSU :(

How do I go about clearing the BIOS?

Can this sort of thing happen even though it's been running fine up to now?

Edit: sorry don't have another SLI card either...

Yes, yes it can.

The BIOS can be cleared/reset by shorting out the relevant pins on the motherboard (consult your manual) or by simply removing the CMOS battery for up to 10 min.

Do you have any other machine at all to test stuff in?

Ok so reseting the BIOS didn't make any difference so I guess it's either the PSU or the card itself....

Can anyone recommend a decent PSU for my rig that would be fairly future proof if I decide to change the graphics card aswell?
