I have a PC running Vista x64 connect to a LG TV/monitor through HDMI. I was using a BFG 8800GT OC2 and It worked perfectly. I then swapped out the BFG for a XFX 8800GT and now when I boot my PC I get a blank screen and my monitor says "no signal"

I've booted up in safe mode which works at 1680x1050, removed and re-installed video drivers but it won't display on a full boot up. I've tried the PC on a different monitor through DVI and it works.

I'm pulling my hair out! Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Cheers all

This might sound daft but I had the same problem with some Nvidia Drivers (the first physics ones). My monitor would not turn on with the newer drivers, it drove me mad...I solved it within the BIOS of all places, can't remember exactly where but thought I’d mention it... have a look in your BIOS and see if there is a setting or two you can alter.

Tried just about everything possible, In the end i put the BFG back in and all works fine. It must be some incompatability with the XFX card which is strange as i was under the impression there all the same.
