I'm a bit worried my graphics card is playing up. It's an 8800GT and I've had it since they came out in November. Had two crashes today where monitor suddenly went into standby. Left the computer off for a few hours and when I came back the it wouldn't post. I switched on and the fans span but it didn't get any further, with the monitor remaining on standby. Tried turning off and on a few times but got the same result. I swapped the DVI lead over to the other port and it sprang into life. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the monitor.
The same thing happened about 3 weeks ago.
Bit worried as I'm in the final stages of my MSc thesis and I could do without disruption . I've got a PCI graphics card on standby for if it all goes awry and a spare computer ready to go.
Any thoughts? It hasn't been a consistent problem yet but should I be thinking about an RMA?
