8800GT Stock?

Hi there

Yes its both OC and OC2 and enough to clear all the backorders leaving spare on both SKU's.

We now have 1200+ in total of 8800 GT on pre-order and were hopeful by end of next week we would have cleared 2/3 of this backlog.

Early/Mid December we hope to have 2000+ in stock across the range which will mean prices will come down and getting these cards will be far easier.

if i called to changed my EVGA order to the BGF OC2 would i be allocated one as soon as they come in?

Indecision

I have been on the wait list with another supplier for a month now for a stock EVGA card. Like OCUK, they were expecting an order this week, and EVGA let them down again. Not sure whether to cancel my order and try another card, or order from here, but I am afraid to lose my position in the queue.
I saw that there was a big order of ocuk cards due in - are they any good, what do people think is the best brand?
I chose the stock version so I could overclock it myself...
I only went with EVGA for their step up program as there are still cards to come and felt that it woud save me shelling out a huge bundle of cash, now Im not sure.
What is everyones opinion on the best way to get a card before xmas next year!!

just my thoughts but what if you paid for these non existent cards weeks ago at rip off price and when they come into stock in start of december at lower prices will all people get refunded the difference? apperantly theres going to be the proper launch then and the prices we were originally promised which is 30-40 quid cheaper . so if the ones who have waited pre order style will they get shafted or get refunded the difference .even though they paid for item at top price but never got the card.

I called earlier this week to remove some memory on my 8800gt order (so i can test overclocking while waiting for 8800gt).. very helpful, didn't wait too long.

I saw OCUK had showing '1 in Stock' for the Gigabyte 8800GT, so I took my chances and ordered it. 5 Mintues later it said Out of stock - now im not sure if there was delay on the stock system, or my payment was just being processed and confirmed - and I got the card or what, but its still showing as 'In Warehouse queue' today - and I ordered last night.

Hopefully I'm lucky! Been waiting since the 3rd with a preorder EVGA but cancelled it because the company took my money, eating into the 90 day stepup program and also registering the warranty within 30 days as well! BAH!

Woozy, if you manage to get through remember to ask them if you will make it to get one of the 400 OC2 which are waiting at Stanstead. Just reminding you so as to avoid frustration, ...

As nothing's been said, I assume the Zotac order won't be in today, if it is in my impatience is such I'd be tempted to pay the ridiculous premium couriers charge for Saturday delivery!

Can I just agree with others and say thanks to Gibbo (and also Adam who's been very helpful getting back to me regarding my endless webnotes!), being kept informed about whats going on does help to ease the frustration caused by Nvidia rushing the release.

Couldn't agree more. Weren't it for this forum and the support I got from here, if I had just ordered something since 8th November and been left in the dark I would surely have cancelled the order!
Having things explained and knowing what is happening makes all the difference in the world.

I called earlier on to check about delivery address issues, got through within about 3mins and spoke to a very helpful guy called Tom (I think it was anyway!) Much better than OcUK use to be on the phone lines.

Both are stock speeds?

Personally I'd stick with the BFG. On here I had the chance to get a Gainward when quite some stock arrived, but I stuck with the OFG OC2. First of all because of the lifetime warranty, secondly because I've read a lot of reviews and personal experiences praising BFG cards, and thirdly because it is ready oc'd at 675/1950.

Edit: uhhh I just saw the prices - isn't that somewhat expensive?

When I called the best they could give was "not sure" on the Zotac.

If the card has a stock cooler and clock speed then the manufacturer of the card is fairly irrelevant beond warantee and freebies.

Right guys, I can get a BFG OC or Gainward Bliss nVidia GeForce 8800GT for tomorrow,

Found a place that has them in stock...

Which would you say?

BFG = £193
Gainward = £190.94

Get the Gainward - you save almost £3. Although I still think £190 for the cards are a bit steep!
