8800GT Stock?

Me too have been thinking about waiting for the new GTS... but I'm already stretching my 'pc budget' to the limit with the GT and obviously the GTS's going to be more expensive. Unless I purchase it within a years time. :D

Fortunately I've got a decent card (8600GTS) for now. Thank heavens I haven't sold it yet. But I've heard that the GT gives more than twice the performance of the 8600 so I am very impatient to try it out.

Any more news about possible GT arrivals on OcUK?

On the site the BFG OC2 says 'overdue'.
 
I saw on Fudzilla this morning that the shortage is due to a lack of a particular power component for the card and not down to a lack of G92 chips.
It also states that supply is slowly beginning to return to more normal levels so hopefully my card might arrive before xmas.

Last I heard was because foxconn were making them and supply would return to normal when flextronics started making them.
 
Just adding my voice to the list.

I ordered a BFG 512M 8800GT OC2 on the 9th. I called up OcUK yesterday afternoon and asked them when they should be shipping it, and they said they were hoping for enough cards to fulfil pre-orders "by the middle of the week". So hopefully everyone who pre-ordered should be playing with their new cards before the weekend, here's hoping! :)
 
Oh I hope so... I bought myself a new rig to bring me up to date, but it's kinda useless without a graphics card :(

For the record, I've ordered a BFG 8800 GT OC2 on the 13th Nov...

Same as Limpit, got a new rig sitting here pining for its graphic card, not ocuk's fault of course, but what can ya do eh? :rolleyes: Hopefully get them by the end of this week

If the cards are coming in by the middle of this week, hopefully I'll be getting mine late this week early next week (I'm in Malta not UK)...
