Hiyahh! :D

I mind this being hot topic (no pun intended) when the cards came out... but what is an acceptable temp for the 8800gt's to reach under gaming or full load? Is over 80oC ok?

I think i remember the suggestion that they are just hot cards... any ideas?

Thanks!

Craig!! :D

Whne I ran my 8800GT with rivatuner linear fan control, it never went above 74C, with my Vortexx, never gets above 62C.

Yep they are, mine regularly hits 85C+ after a heavy TF2 sesh with the fan set at 40%. The stock HSF isn't too great at cooling the card but the temps we're getting aren't anything to worry about :)

Thanks for the replies :)

Thought it was safe... so thats ok!

Still seems a bit hot in my mind tho! Did look into aftermarket coolers, but they are fair expensive compared to the price of the card!

See my other post about using linear fan control.

Works a treat.
