My Point of View 8800gts 320 has just died on me and I need an equivalent replacement. I don't want an upgrade, just something that works as fast and as quiet as this thing used to.

Cheers

Hmm, the problem with those is the 3 month warranty. This one lasted just over 3 years and I never overclocked it, I really looked after it (underclocked at 2d and custom fan profiles).

Are there any modern cards of similar price and performance?

Well, one reason why those Grade A cards are cheaper than they should is because they are the way they are and only with 3 months warranty...if you want to buy new with two years warranty (it will cost more), then:

9800GT:

or 4850:

Hi Jim I have just purchased a 4890 to replace my fully working 8800GT 512MB I am sure its the 512MB one.

My mate I got it from said its the fastest 8800GT there is it comes factory overclocked.

I am selling it I will offer you first dibs if you wish other wise I am putting it on the Bay or MM here.

I am asking £45 INC P&P providing you don't live far like India hahahaha.

Thanks for the kind offer but I'm looking to buy new. :)

Just go for the 9800 GT then, cheapest option which is at least as powerful as your old card and comes with a full warranty.
