8800GTS 640mb artifacts, help!

I have an 8800GTS 640mb and it seems that as soon as I switch on the machine, it shows artifacts. Greenish dotted lines going down the screen at first, then after the post screen, all the text looks jumbled up. Once it gets into Windows, the monitor shows no signal.

Any idea whats wrong, and if theres a way to fix it?

what temps is it at?

has the card been cleaned or tampered with in any way?

i cant check temps, no signal when i get to windows.

the card is clean, and hasnt been tampered with.

If its artifacts in bios screen you may have RMA it if you can.

I had 8800gt that did the same and it turned out the onboard memory was kaput.
