I recently bought a leadtek 8800gts 640mb from here , the 1st time i played bf2 with it i noticed these black shapes all over the terrain . screenshot here http://img413.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bf2dw4.jpg , it seems to be on bf2 only , doesnt seem to happen on bf2142. , so far ive tryed re installing the drivers but that has not effected the problem.Any ideas?

This problem has come up before - I haven't had a search but I think it may be AA (Anti-Aliasing) related.
You either turn that off in the game and enforce it through NVidia's Software/Control Panel or Vice Versa and that supposedly fixes it.
That's assuming it's the problem I think it is.

try changing the texture quality (or terrain quality, whatever it is) from either high > medium, or medium > high, and see if it makes any difference at all.
