Just built a new E7300 rig with one problem.
When ever I raise the FSB, memory and cpu benchmarks show the proper increase in performance, yet games get slower.
266mhz = 38fps (crysis)
333mhz = 30fps
I clock to 333mhz in the bios, and then downclock with software in windows because my 8800GTS overclocks better with the MSI software for some reason.
Sys specs are;
E7300
MSI P35 Neo2FR latest bios
2x2gig OCZ PC6400
8800GTS (tried stock and run it at 600/1380/1850)(up from 600/1380/1540 with rivatuner/nv performance)
620w Corsair PSU.
Tried asking in overclock section but maybe its a common gfx card problem I dunno?
Just for reference ran 3dmark 06 at 333FSB and gfx overclocked and got 11400.
