Hey,

Basically I built my new rig last week and I used the standard drivers that came with my GPU.

I overclocked my CPU to 3Ghz and all is dandy. However I did 3DMark06 and I can't help but feel my score was a little low. I got just over 10,000marks but looking at similar results for similar specs I feel I should be getting about 12,000marks.

I've just had a quick look at the driver CD that came with the GPU and it tells me its is version 6.3 but the latest download from the nvidia site is

169.21_forceware_winxp_32bit_international_whql.exe

Would I be best installing the above or just keeping what I've got and optimising my CPU etc?

Thanks :)

Spec is:

E2180 @ 3Ghz (will push more when I've got better cooling)
BFG 8800GTS 512
Abit IP35 Pro
Corsair HX520
2GB Crucial Ballistix PC5300
Thermalright Extreme

Okedoke,

My plan is to uninstall from device manager then boot into safe mode and run Driver Cleaner Pro then reboot and install new drivers. Does this sound about right?
