8800gts on a pci-e bus 1

Not really, only the newer G92 based GTS's are PCI-E 2.0 compliant, and even those wouldn't show any noticeable improvement in the move from PCI-E 1.1 x16 to PCI-E 2.0 x16...

You'll be lucky all you will get on the mm is people mentioning the 4850 and offering £70 or less for 8800gt's now.
Keeping mine no point selling for £70 - postage that's about £60 going to keep it as a backup card and get a proper upgrade in a year then it's going to have an accident and get replaced by a newer card from bfg in a few years.
