As per the firingsquad review they have graphs showing a GTS overclocked to 620/904 giving slightly better results than a standard GTX.

Yes of course you can overclock a GTX even faster... but still this is an impressive result.

Now the question is will a GTS hold that margin for the life cycle of these cards or will new drivers release more power from the GTX and will DX10 give a larger performance margin given the differences between the GTS and GTX in the core? (Stream 96 vs 128 I believe it is).

Obviously no one knows for sure right now but I would be interested in peoples opinions?

No because there are physically less shader units (stream processors or whatever they want to call them) in the GTS model, and they run at a slower speed - don't think they get overclocked, even if they do there's still less of them.

Also its on a 320bit bus which is less than the GTX....whatever that means :)

Not sure what you mean by "No", right now the overclocked GTS is on par with a GTX.

I mean in the future when we have games that are even more shader intensive, the actual speed of the core\memory won't nessacarily help them if there aren't enough shader units?
