Got myself a spanking new Palit 8800GTS and have had it installed for a few days so thought I'd give it a go at overclocking it. Tried nTune and it was being very weird so I dumped that and decided to go for the second worst choice ATI Tool v 0.26 which apparently works with the new cards.
So I am playing with the clock speeds and I decide after finding out that my core will not go over 636Mhz without having a major lockup that I would see how my RAM would behave. So I do the good 'ol find max memory clock and watch it for a while, gets to 2000Mhz, I'm thinking great this is good, then a few mins later it's still going and I'm watching the clock speed climb, and climb, and climb. I eventually bottled it at 1246MHz (Nearly 2500MHz!) is ATI Tool at fault or did I get the best RAM in the world.
Any feedback would be appreciated
