8800GTS Running in 1x mode

hi all,

just used cpu-z and noticed my gfx card is running in 1x mode, its been fine untill today.

i have checked the bios but cant find anything related

any ideas on how to get it back to 16x please

Have you got the latest bios?
If so, try to set the pci-e freq on 101.

sorted - just took the card out and put it back in - works now

It won't be I bet that comes back to haunt you It's a known problem with the P5B DLX. Only got it with my nvidia card though and not my ATi.

I had the same problem with my 8800 on a p35 chipset & when I put a fan over the northbridge heatsink it went back to 16x
