8800gts temp question

I could not be happier with my new 8800gts.

I was just wondering what temps are normal. Its a pre-overclocked card 570 / 1800.

I have'nt monitored them yet, so it would be nice to be able to compare to someone else's card when I do.

Thanks for that i'll keep a eye on it.

I've been testing over the last couple of hours and it seem to be idling around 65'c then up to about 76 under load.

I've been hammering it over the last few days.

I can get 700 on the core and 1000 on the ram 100% stable, but the temp under load goes up to the mid 80's. I've turned the fan speed up to 100%.

Is this safe?

if there are no artifacts then you should be fine. I have tweeked mine some more and mine now runs at 82 degrees after a 10 minutes at stalker.

Good result on the 700 core. I can't get near that but I now have the memory at 2200 on mine.

Indeed I have to say that I'm extremely chuffed thus far. And absolutley sure I made the right choice after listening to my bruv's 2900XT the other day. Man those things are loud, having said that though, Stalker looked awesome on his 24" er.

Are there any 3rd party coolers available for the 8800, if so what would be the one of choice?
