Currently deciding what to upgrade to! I've had a think, and these are some choices;

Sell my 8800GTS and buy a 4870 512

Or, bit of a mixup;

Sell my GTS, IP35 and PSU, and then buy 2x 4850s, bigger PSU and a Crossfire compliant motherboard?

The 4870 would be the cheaper route.

What you think?

I have just swapped my 8800gts for a sappire HD4870 and trust me you wont regret it , added 2000 points to my 3DMark06 score and games like assassins creed , cod4 and crysis look fantastic with better fps in all of them :D

I've wanted to try dual cards for ages now, but i dont think my 19" widescreen warrants it. I'm still interested in it though :)

I've got a pair of 4850 cards running in Xfire atm and so far I'm seeing improvements across the board in everything, COD4, COH, etc EXCEPT crysis which still only runs on one card (Xfire doesn't work with this game, y'know, the one game that really needs it to).
Anyways, gives me the option to replace/upgrade fairly easily if I want to replace one card and go for a 4870 in Xfire with the remaining 4850, flog one, stick the other in the second pc, sell me 3870XT and get a 4850X2 when they come out and if they give good bang for buck.:)

Okay, had a think. I could get the 4870 as i first thought, then when the 4870x2 comes out, i could get another 4870 to dabble in crossfire :) Prices should be lower then.
