8800GTS worth it?

hey guys,
i have been offerd a 8800GTS cheep, i know everyone is raving about the 8800 cards and was thinking if i would get performance boost with an 8800GTS over my ATI 2600 pro, logic says yes but i want i wanna know from you lot. the gamers, i play COD4 and the NFS games

320Mb Version isn't the hottest 8800 - the 512Mb GTS is the desirable one, it would be a reasonable step up from the 2600pro but not earth shatteringly so.

thanks for the quick reply, well if i get the 320MB one cheep that will do for the moment, i mean my 2600 pro is kinda havin a hard time with COD4 at 1680x1050 with everything on low... lol

i have a 320M GTS and I play COD4 1680x1050 quite happily with stuff on high
