I was hoping to buy a new PC capable of running arma 2 at high fps and hopefully arma 3 when it's released.

I already own a nvidia 8800gts and would have hopefully put this card in my new machine.

Do most current motherboards from overclockers still offer space for a chunky pci express 16x slot?

This card combined with what processor and ram etc would play arma 2 real smooth?

Thanks

Err.. that card wouldn't be able to play Arma on high, no chance. Just tell us what budget you have and if you want to upgrade your mobo and cpu too.

First of all welcome.

Im afraid that the card you have wouldn't be good enough to play arma on high settings. The CPU doesn't have to be too powerful for that so that could be quote cheap. What budget do you have in mind?

Well my budget depends on a few things. Currently my pc monitor is 32 inch hd tv. Would that work ok? If it would work I could spend up to about 600-700. This would have to be reduced if you feel I need a monitor too.

Thanks for welcome and help!

1) What PSU do you have currently? Just so we know if it is powerful enough for a new rig/GPU.
2) Can you re-use the rest of your components like the Case, HDD, OS and DVD drive?

Here is my suggestion currently without the above information. I'll change it probably once you answer the above. :p

Thanks!

I could reuse my psu (corsair 350 I think), hard drive and maybe even my
Motherboard but I bought all of these when I bought my 8800gts so they might be outdated now. Sorry if this information is useless, I wish I knew makes and models
