8800gts512 fan control?

just wondering what temps does it take for the fan on this card to speed up a notch?

just wonderign because atm its running at 37% (442rpm) atm according to everest and the gpu core is at 71 oC... shouyld it be increasing slightly to lower it or is this normal?

Seems high if thats idle, id set up a fan profile in Rivatuner to control it.

nah its at 45-44 at idle, only gets to high 60's low 70's if im playing a game for hours, like playing wow for about 40mins then it gets that high but the fan speed remains the same whether its idle at 45 or gaming at 69...

anyone else got the bfg 8800gts 512 oc and got somesettings that they find good with rivatuner?

also i noticed that the shader and core clocks are running at the correct speed but the memory clock is only at 972 instead of 1940... has anyone else got this, is it supposwed to read the low value?

Yep reads the same here and shows the non ddr rate.

ahhh do just double it and that what its actually running at? makes sense.. why didnt i think of that!

my GTS never seemed to increase the fan speed either so i used rivatuner and setup fan profiles to speed up the fan as the temp increased.

all ive done is just bump up the constant fan speed a bit from 36% to 45% idles at 38 and only seen it up to 65 on load now

70 load you have nothing to worry about. These cards can boil water safely...
