8800GTX cooler question

Considering putting the stock cooler back on my 8800GTX as the HR-03 never really did help overclock the card and might want to sell it soon.

But I'm wondering if the white memory thermal pads or whatever there called need replacing, there all still intact so should there be any problems re-installing it?

I'm guessing no, but just doublechecking

No problems at all.

I upgraded to dual zalmans on my old 7950GX2 then when it was time to sell i put the original thermal pads back on when i refitted the stock heatsinks. They'd spent around 8 months off the card but were absolutely fine.

Temps and overall stability were unaffected.

Surprised that HR-03 hasn't helped temps. Mine dropped my GTX's temps by a whopping 30c at full load.

Oh the HR-03 dropped load temps a good 20-25C but made no impact at all to the max stable overclock of the card, I'm guessing it just needed a more volts.

Anyway, swapped them round, temps are back to normal, 86-88C load, but it's still flashed at 648/1512/999 which i'll sort out before I sell it.
