I've just bought the XFX 8800GTX to replace my old ATI X800GT.

I'm running Vista 64 with SP1 and my mobo is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L.

Can someone advise me on the best way to upgrade this.

Do I need to uninstall old ATI drivers manually or should I use a driver cleaner?

Cheers

Uninstall the ATi drivers using Add/Remove, then use DriverCleaner, although IIRC DriverCleaner is best used in Safe Mode, but I am sure someone else will be along soon to confirm.

Uninstall the ATi drivers using Add/Remove. Then you can use Driver Sweeper (from the Guru 3D). It works a treat without going into safe mode.
