8800gtx heat

So I've put my fans to 100% and even underclocked it yet it still goes up to about 85degrees when I'm playing a game, I plan on ordering a HR-03 Plus but I'm wondering if there is anything else I can do it solve the heat problem?

Cleaned out any dust? Probably picked up quite a bit in the heatsink over the years.

Whats the case cooling like, does the heatsink require cleaning.

When I had my 8800 GTX it would be around 75c when gaming, but the fan would be around 75% ~

I've cleaned the case plenty but I'll give cleaning the GPU a try.

The case for cooling isn't that good(X-Cruiser), it seems to be cooler when I take the side off of it so I have done for now, I'll be getting a new case soon hopefully.

Seems to be idling at about 67degrees with 100% fan / side off and underclocked 450/1012/800

Took out the GPU and got the dust off of the heatsink and fan, I'll check my idling temp without underclocking in about 30 minutes.

Seems to be idling, with fans at 100% with side off and no underclocking, at about 54-54degrees.

that seems about right, my 9800Gt is pretty much idling there right now with a peak whilst gaming of 76c, ya best bet is better cooling on the case, my old case was naff and temps were always high, i've currently got 1 120mm intake on the front, a 120mm side fan exhausting and a rear 120mm exhausting and it all helps the card shift the heat

When playing ArmA II OA with 100% fans it is around about 62degrees which is much better than before, so hopefully it will be even better with a new case.
