8800GTX in the box

im gonna get a new 8800gtx next week... but cant decide what to get, the warranties are good enough on them all, and they all perform near enought identically, so what i need off everyone is a pic, of what the box looks like and what came with it if possible

you get a card, a tee shirt, mouse feet, stickers and the driver disk


with a BFG 8800 GTX water cooled ver


and some cable bits to join it all up

box has a picture of a guy out of eifel 45 with a headache

inside is:

8800 gtx
Teflon pads for the base of your mouse (these are darn good)
loads of stickers saying arrogant things like "my graphics card > yours"
some more stickers with bfg written all over them
a black t-shirt that has the blue guy with a headache on it
2* 2 molex to pci-e
2* dvi to dsub vga
hdtv connector
a sheet giving a warning sign on how fast the gpu is
driver disk

i know performance is the most important, but there nearly all identical... so the retail packaging and bundle are what set each other apart along with warranty...

with the bfg 880 gtx wet one you get enough to get it going ( XP only not vista ) no games

*** XFX is one of the cheaper cards on the market - still a big brand name - comes with bare essentials in the box - hdtv connector, 2x dvi -> vga converters, a driver disk and a manual.

The box has the same design as the card itself:

I would always get a card with the longest warranty though.

Makes it more appealing when you come to sell it on

You can get a GTX for £499 or £420... exactlly the same card bar the sticker on the heatsink its nuts. Just get the cheapest the are all the same apart from the companys stickers on em.. yes some have more warranty, but who cares.

Cards with longer warrantys sell better when you come to upgrade.

That may be so but, I never had a problem selling on any card I had in the pat regardless of warranty. I would rather gat my 8800GTX for £423 which I am by the way, than £475 or £500... nuts.

I went with the XFX version because of the double lifetime warranty... ie it's still warrantied after you sell it...

I thought that, but apparently not in the UK.
