As i didn't get paid i'm currently graphics card'less so i borrowed my housemates 8800gtx while he's in ireland. Thing is though i'm trying to play devil may cry 4 and i'm getting a lower fps than i did with my x1900xt with the same settings. Is something up with it?

yeah, most likely driver issues....If you didn't clean everything related to ATi then it can lead to problems.
OKay, i had it all cleaned etc and stuck new drivers on. And upon restart was greeted with a little box saying its throttled the card down due to insufficient power.
I have both power cables in and an enermax liberty PSU 500watt or 550watt, with not much else being powered in the case.

I've just thought, i'm looking to buy an ATI 4850 tomorrow, the HIS IceQ version and i'm wondering now if my PSU can actually handle running the card. Does anyone know the specifics between amps and volts and stuff for my PSU as i don't honestly understand the whole rails-ampage stuff.
Okay, my bad. Seems that the 2nd PCI-E power cable might not have been plugged into the psu all the way in.
Now i feel like an idiot ha ha.
Least i know my PSU should cope now, getting a solid 170+ fps with loads higher settings and dx10

The 177.92's are really great for the 88xx's. but i guess if your just playing DMC, are happy with the fps and have to give the card back soon then theres not much point

odd cuase but glad its sorted. i left one connector unplugged once when fiddling aroudn in my pc and the noise the card made

Yeah, he's coming back either today or tomorrow, i'm trying to cram as much DMC in before he gets back ha ha.
