Wondered what other people are getting and if there is a pattern as with the 7950GX2.

Mine : 626/1900

Most people see to be hitting at least 2ghz on the memory and around 650 on the core, sometimes higher.

(Not "optimal" detection button, thats what they can go to without artifacts from their own testing).

The optimal check freezes solid, can't use it. Some are reaching 650+, not all, I've seen a few stop at 630, but none lower, at least not that I've seen. Memory at least 2000, some way higher. Some of them do seem to run hotter than others. Probably air flow again.

Slightly off topic, but when I use the optimal clocking method on my 6800gt games artifact and freeze up :\ I really wouldn't trust it.

Don't think I could leave it un-clocked, I admire your restraint.

usually, the first thing i do when i get new hardware is clock the balls off it, haven't had a cpu that was first powered up at stock :D

Actually on a side note, are you using ati tool to overclock, seems to be the only way from what i have seen.

Running at 650/2000 at the moment.

I cranked it up to 690/2200 for some testing :) It's a bit unstable with the memory that high though.

Can't resist free fps, means I can turn up the AA. Although I will admit in all but Oblivion it runs everything flat out anyway. Still, can't help it.

I can use ATiTool. But the control panel sliders work just as well.

Hmm, when i try to find optimal i just get a yellow screen and system locks up

My control panel slider screen looks different to yours Fornowagain

Under 3d settings from the page you show i get this.

If i click change overclocking configuration i get this

Yours looks like the driver did with my 7950gx2. With my 8800gtx it would not go to the overclocking part and gave me this error.

So i downloaded ntune from the link you gave and its changed it to what i have above. I tried other versions of ntune and they all say i needed a nforce chipset. This may be the reason of the lockups when i click find optimal.

I still dont understand why the original driver works ok for you though.
