Few questions if any wants to lend a hand..

Does your fan spin up to 100% after a few minutes gaming ??
If not what's it go up to after say an hours play.

what idle temps does your GTX idle at on what fan speed ?
what load temps do you get ?
what load temps do you get on 80% fan speed?

found that standard cooler on my msi gtx8800 ran at 60% normally with temps at 64-66 idle and 78-80 load,recently exchanged it for a thermalright hr-03+,what a transformation,now idles at 48-50 and load is 58-60 playing racedriver grid,cooler has 2 x 92mm fans attached which makes it a massive peice of equipment,highly recommend this cooler if you love your gtx 8800.

My fan speed spins up after just a few minutes yes. This is in a well ventilated and dust guarded case.

My idle temp is usually between 60-65C
Load temps of 70-80C

since my GTX is quite near to a load of HDDs (about to be moved)

my temps are 75C idle and about 90C load

my gtx very VERY rarely span up. temps were similar to Inazuma's. sold it quite a while ago though, but it was easily the most trouble free (and quietest!) card id ever used at that point.

Just removed my water block and put the default cooler on and after couple of mins the fan is near full speed. At the moment my pc has been on around 10 mins and the idle temp is 75c.

Idles @ 60c 60% fan speed
Load @ 80c 60% fan speed
Load @ 70c 80% fan speed

fan does spin up after a few minutes of game play.

leave the fan speed to default 39% i have never heard my fan spin up at all.

idles at 61c
load is around 80c
