8800GTX poor video playback

Hiya Folks

I have recently re-installed my 8800gtx after having some issues with psu/memory. All resolved now

I'm having some issues with quality now poor skin tones pink snakes. lines just looks crap. Didn't have these issues with my old Ati x600 or with previous drivers(Dont know which ones)

has anyone had issues with 169.21 drivers

Or any ideas

Get a newer driver.

I would try adjusting the settings on the nvidia control panel and your monitor, and if that or other drivers don't fix it try and RMA it.

on another note i dont think it is a fair comparison between an ATI card and a nvidia one as they are different cards w/ different strengths albiet small ones.

I thought i did have got it of nvidia website.



I'm playing back to my plasma screen and it only appears to be with video playback.

I will try differant drivers though

HHmm fixed it kinda.
With my ATI card I can use the d-sub lead to the pc in on the plasma and its ok
With my nvidia card I cant and have to use the dvi-hdmi card to get the same quality

Oh well It'll be Avi for my HTPC
