8800gtx problems

When i try to play counter strike source , the screen goes all funny for eg:

It will all go brown and i will see triangles and lines etc.

This only started happening a few hours ago.. i'v tried restarting my pc etc but still no luck.

I havn't overclocked or changed the heatsink at all , everything is stock.

Temps while i play is around 80degrees :S (when i could play )

is my card broke(RMA IT?) / overheating

Well i tried counter strike 1.6 and i had no problems in that..

It might be a driver then, do you have anything else? Try looping 3Dmark06, that'll stress it.

Try games made this century, some modern and more demanding ones. Sounds like a driver problem to me, reinstall your drivers (after removing the old installation) or install newer drivers if there is anyout.

I'll try the new drivers but my problem doesn't seem to be the same as yours..

Sorry for the triple post but.. the i installed the latest drivers and all seems good

i do know that the 8800 series has a problem with the source engine and valve are working on a fix for it but that looks like a driver problem

You do know that the 8800 cards have there own driver and not the standered one?
