8800GTX Question

Hi what just wondering if a 8800GTX 768 mb is still a good buy for now as an upgrade. I mean how long until the 8800GTX/ultra are beaten in benchmarking is it worth buying a 8800GTX.ultra now or wait for the futare ?

I'd wait a few weeks. Bad time to be buying any card atm.

New GTS out 19th Nove which is sure to be followed shortly by the new GTX

Well if you mean Nvidia then no but plenty of places are saying 19th november

It sucks, because, I really wanted to get my build finished before that date. I might just end up with a GT. Wonder what will happen to the current GTS's both versions, from now till the 19th.

I would guess they will have to drop in price if the 8800GT does outperform them. They are end of line after all.

I would expect the GT to overclock pretty well, though it'll be interesting to see what the new GTXs do.
