8800gtx squeaking??

set up my i7 build/bundle from this site. i have a 8800gtx and when i browse down the ie browser or anything intensive i swear i can hear my 8800 gtx sqeaking? is this common or am i going mad?

Very common. Coil whine or capacitor squeal. Nothing you can do about it, but it doesn't necessarily indicate the card or your system is faulty.

it did it in my old pc also with this card. its running pretty hot by the way

i just started priming the noise wasnt there. i switched of prime95 and its back again.

so its doing it just while im on the desktop. when i scroll down the IE browser it does it then kind of on and off

try downloading "ati tool" and see if it does it when it's running

also you can try to go to nvidia control panel and force on triple buffering and vsync

tried the buffering and vsync its still there. i ran the stability test on nvidea controll pannel and every time the performance benchmark video came on the sound was there so its def the gfx card. I guess im stuck with this or i buy a new card!
